13 days later I did get to see the other part of the Parasophia exhibition that was included with my ticket. Parasophia was a collection of works by local and international modern artists. After seeing the second part of Parasophia, I noticed there was an exhibit of traditional Japanese artworks in a nearby gallery, so I checked that one out on the same day.
BTW it was a public holiday called Showa Day (the previous Emperor's Birthday) which is part of Golden Week a time of the year when there are four public holidays in close proximity. Ritsuko went back to Australia for that Golden Week so I started posting a selfie to my twitter account everyday to show her what I was up to.
