A Stream of Images

Hi I'm James and I'm currently based in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. This is my second photo stream gallery, it is the sequel to My New Life (In Japan). This gallery is mostly just so I can share recent images with friends, family and anyone else who's interested. Since I live in Japan most of the images will be from Japan, but occasionally I travel elsewhere. If you're looking for my best images check out the popular images, my homepage and some of my other galleries. Newest images appear at the beginning of the Gallery. Comments, Votes and Purchases are greatly appreciated. Read the testimony of what God did in our first three years living in Japan in my wife's book "It was Him".

  • What is it?<br />
It looks like a Wattle (which is a native tree to Australia), it blooms in Japan in very similar weather to Wattle blooming time in Australia. So is it an import or something different?

That concludes my photos of 2012 Higashiyama Hanatouro. There are two Hanatouros in Kyoto each year. In March one is held in the Higashiyama Area and in December one is held in the Arashiyama Area. Each Hanatouro goes for 10 days.

This year the colder weather meant the Ume were still in bloom during Higashiyama Hanatouro. In contrast in 2010 it was so warm that some of the Sakura were in bloom during the Higashiyama Hanatouro.
