Your Bio

I originally created the Jamri Photography website to showcase some of my finest photos. Since 2009 I've also been streaming lots of photos to the "My New Life (in Japan)", "A Stream of Images" and "Going Back in Time" galleries.

The name "Jamri" comes from the first three letters of my name and the first two letters of my wife's name.

I've been into Photography since a very young age thanks to my father's influence. When I turned 22 I purchased a little Canon Prima AF-7 (film) camera to document my travels.

Now-a-days my main camera is a Nikon D700. I previously owned a Nikon D80 (2008-2010) and prior to that a Nikon D50 (2006-2008). My carry everywhere snap shot camera is a Nikon Coolpix P7100, prior to that a Casio EX-Z850 (2006-2012). Some of the older (pre 2006) photos were taken with a Sanyo VPC-AZ1 which which was my first digital camera and went to one of my sisters in 2006. Occasionally I'll post some shots from my wife's Panasonic DMC-S1.

I also still dabble in film occasionally, using either a Nikon F80 (35mm) or a Mamiya 67 (medium format).

Best Regards,

James L Clarke
